A page is turn in the life of the "Knights of the Web" website. Yesterday myself and Steeve Johansson, Vice President of Kenzer&Co have come to an agreement for the sale of my domain name, "kodt.com".

This is officially the last update on my KODT website. Well, for a long time since I will no longer work on it. After 5 years of devoted and distinguished service, I’ve decided to put an end to it. But the site will remains on the net if only for the fans. You will find it at this url : http://www.kodt.eyeskream.com

The year 2003 was a strange year for me and KODT. I have gradually stopped reading the KODT magazine. I was like 10 months late on my readings, so I decided to stop buying the KODT magazine and K.ILL. For me there was to much “Hackmaster” articles and the KODT universe expanded so much that it was now hard to follow the storyline. There was also the lack of support from Kenzer. But like Jolly has clearly explained to me, it's in both in our interests that they NOT officially promote fan website. And I totally agree with him, but I find this hard to take. I was also having the feeling that people (the fans) were only interested in the KenzerCo forum and what KenzerCo did. The number of emails of encouragement that I was getting all the time from people that shared the same passion as me for KODT was beginning to be smaller and smaller, and now I rarely get one.

There was also the fact that working on something that does not belong to you and that you have no control over was beginning to really bother me, and God knows that I have invested a lot of time on my website! I regret nothing, this was fun, and I have met a lot of great people over all these years. I’ve accomplished a lot of great things like being made the first “Honorary Knight”, got two cameos in the KODT magazine, and became at the same time the only real life character in the KODT universe, Co-Founder of the Yahoo KODT Fan Club, way before Kenzer got their own forum, worked on the french KODT translation and naturally, my “Knights of the Web” website. This was a great experience!

They were also some...how you say this in english... "mauvaises langues"...scandalmongers maybe? Well, some people that had wrongfully reported that I was very upset and was posting things elsewhere on the the net about Kenzer treating me badly, that I was jealous. I never posted anything about Jolly or Kenzer treating me badly. I have always expressed myself openly and everybody was able to read my post on the KODT Fans Forum. I simply write that I was sorry for the "lack of support" that Kenzer offered me for all these years. And Jolly has explained to me the "why" of the situation that I have already printed in another post in the KODT Fans Forum (now renamed the Flying Ferret Forum). And again I totally agree with him.

As for being "jealous" of the KenzerCo website/forum, that's not true. I was only "disappointed!" Disappointed I didn't have more members and people that before the KenzerCo website/Forum was created, didn't have enough people emailing me to talk about my kodt.com website and give their ideas and comments. It suddenly seemed that only the KenzerCo forum existed, and I was sorry for this situation, but never jealous. But I repeat myself. It's only normal that a company one day a gets kewl website and forum of it's own to attract readers and surfers.

Anyway, like I have emailed Jolly, there are no ill feelings and I totally respect this guy. What he has done with Shadis and KODT is amazing. And I want to follow in it's footstep with my own things and try to succeed like he has.

So it’s time to move on and do others things. That’s why I decided to buy a new domain name and go on something new. Remember Douglas Curtis? Writer/penciler of Spacehack? Well we have created a new website and forum for one of his creations, “The Flying Ferret”. You can find its adventure at : http://www.flyingferret.com. We have all sorts of projects for him, and one of them is to get published.

So that’s all for me folks!

“Knights of the Web” is dead, long live the “Flying Ferret
